*Esma Sultan Waterside Mansion (ISTANBUL)

Esma Sultan, Daughter of the 32th Ottoman Sultan Abdulaziz, was born in 1873 at Dolmabahce Palace. She was taken to the Yildiz Palace Harem for her education at the age of 3, when her father was dethroned. Esma Sultan became a follower of the new traidition of leading a courtly life independent of Topkapi Palace and husbands. In the 18th century, women of the dynasty entertained courtiers of the palace and leading the intellectuals in their private mansions. Esma Sultan lived for 10 years in this mansion which was given to her as a wedding gift.

*Adile Sultan Palace (ISTANBUL)

*Sait Halim Paşa Mansion (ISTANBUL)

Sait Halim Paşa Mansion was built in 1878 by architect Petraki Adamandidis from Çanakkale. Sait Halim Paşa, grandson of the Egyptian Khedive Mehmed Ali, was the Mayor of Yeniköy from 1908 to 1911, and Grand Vizier and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Ottoman Court from 1913 to 1917. The Ottoman German alliance treaty leading to the Ottomans joining the First World War was signed in the Pasha's study room.
The Mansion's decorative styles mélange of French and Egyptian architecture. The exterior is in empire style and the interior in eclectic style, with the Mansion's plan including a central grand hall-sofa with an alcove overlooking the seafront. One of the most authentic features of the Mansion is the Hamam ( Turkish bath) . The stained glass at the entrance of the Hamam has been preserved until today.
During Sait Halim Paşa's era, all decorations in the " Golden Room" were solid gold. The "Japanese Room" was furnished with gifts sent from the Japanese Empire and the room named accordingly..The two lions standing by the pier were a gift from kings of Germany and Italy when Sait Halim Paşa was the chancellor. The Mansion is associated with the lions, so people call it " The Mansion with the Lions".

*Binbirdirek Underground Cistern (ISTANBUL)

According to Byzantyum resources, The Binbirdirek Cistern was constructed in the fourth century as the second biggest water resorvoir in Istanbul  after Bazalika Cistern. These resources say that when 1.Constantinus settled the city, in the aim of providing the necessary water to Lausus Palace, he had given the responsiblity of building this cistern to Philoxenus who was one of 12 members of the senate in Rome. During the Ottoman Empire, around the sixteenth century, the cistern had been filled up to hall the level and it is still in the same height. It was used as a small factory of silk and yarn which means that it was a dried-up and inactive cistern.
The Binbirdirek Cistern is a massive reservoir that is surrounded with a thick wall aii around. There were 224 columns, today you can 212 of them exist. Since there was no water inside of the Binbirdirek Cistern, it was used by the silk and yarn producers as an atelier in the seventeeth century. After the mansion on the cistern was destroyed, several were opened by drilling some of the vaults in the aim of letting some light and air into the cistern. 
In 2005 May, at the end of efficient reconctruction works, the cistern has returned to its old and splendid days.
